How To Pack For A Weekend In Vegas: 27 Essential Items To Bring On Vacation

Okay, so talking about what I pack to go on vacation is one of my favorite past times. Not sure if you guys are completely interested in my packing habits, but it’s still fun to share! I previously mentioned my upcoming trip to Vegas and what I planned to bring with me. You can also check out my packing post for a Bachelorette Weekend and one for Spring Break.

TRAVEL

Whether you’re flying or driving, chances are you’re going to be suffering through at least a few hours of travel time. Shorts [1 | 2] and a graphic tank [1 | 2] will keep you cool in the blistering desert sun. Sneakers or flip-flops are both comfy and functional. Plus, you can slip them off as you go through airport security (or as you waste away some time in the passenger seat of your friend’s car). A dad cap and sunglasses keep the sun’s rays away from your face, while a cute weekender tote will keep all your outfits and accessories in one spot!

DAY ONE

My plans for my first day in Vegas include shopping, dinner, and–of course–going out! A matching shorts set [top | bottom] is both stylish and designed to keep you cool in the summer heat. Throw on your flip-flops again for an ultra comfy look as you discover the city. Sunglasses and a mid-sized handbag are perfect accessories for your daytime look. Lace-up sandals paired with a dressy romper are perfect for happy hour and dinner at the closest hotel. For your nighttime look, go ultra-glam with a sequined crop top, a leather pencil skirt, strappy heels, a choker, and a small crossbody bag to store your essentials (lipstick, mattifying powder, hairspray, and your anti-friction stick for those heels!).

DAY TWO

After a night out, day two is going to start off with a mid-morning brunch. Casual palazzo pants, an off-the-shoulder top, sandals, and sunglasses create an effortlessly chic look (even if you’re still half-dead from the night before). The afternoon calls for a boozy pool party, complete with a sexy swimsuit, loose cover-up, and flip-flops. For dinner and cocktails, an LBD never goes out of style. Make it modern with sleek heels, a sexy choker, and your crossbody bag.

DAY THREE

Another day of shopping and sight-seeing means another laid-back look! A high-neck crop top and denim shorts paired with a breezy kimono is a lazy outfit that feels put-together. Pair with sandals, sunglasses, and your regular handbag for the daytime. Dinner calls for another pretty romper paired with dressy heels. For night time, a black crop top paired with a pastel skirt is something unexpectedly pretty and sexy.

ALTERNATIVE OUTFITS

Packing for a weekend is all about maximizing space in your suitcase. Remember that two-piece sets can be worn separately to create multiple new outfits. Try printed shorts with an off-the-shoulder top. Or a floral crop top with a mini skirt. If you want to pack even lighter, your kimono can double as your cover-up at the pool the day before. One travel outfit for going to Vegas and going back home is perfectly acceptable as well! Combine outfits creatively to make the most of your carry-on space.
