Here’s How To Make A Caramel Macchiato At Home

You’re going to have to thank Eugenie Kitchen for this Caramel Macchiato Starbucks Copycat Recipe. Nothing is a better summer cool-down (and all year caffeine pick-me-up) than a caramel macchiato.

According to this recipe, you will need:

  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp vanilla syrup
  • 1 cup of large ice cubes
  • 1 cup of cold milk
  • 2 shots of espresso (or strong coffee)
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp caramel sauce (but be honest, we’ll probably all double that amount)

An alternative recipe from Baking Mischief claims to be “better than Starbucks.” You’ll have to make it and see for yourself! For this recipe, you need:

  • 1 cup of strong coffee
  • 1-3 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • whipped cream
  • caramel sauce

Baking Mischief actually provides a homemade recipe for caramel sauce, which can be found here. The recipe was adapted from Smitten Kitchen, so here’s another option to choose from. If you want to see the nutritional information, you can read it here, but┬áyou’ll probably┬ámake this drink regardless of the calories.

If you don’t want to make your own caramel sauce, you can buy a large jug of Starbucks’ caramel sauce for $24.95. If you have a Verismo, there’s actually a Caramel Macchiato kit, which can be purchased here. Last, but not least, pick up some Vanilla Syrup (regular or sugar-free) and get brewing!
