You probably already own all of the essential pieces to these breezy summer outfits. If not, it’s about time you added these items to your wardrobe.

Cami Slip Dress

Dress it up, dress it down. This is one of the easiest and most versatile pieces of the summer. The pink dress shown above is from ASOS. You can also slip into this dress from Forever 21.

Flannel Over Everything

A boring shorts and tank look can be brightened up with plaid. You probably already have several of these tucked away in your closet, but if not, plaid can easily be found at almost any retailer. To prove my point, here are five different plaid options from Forever 21 (and they have way more than these): one, two, three, four, five.

Maxi Dress

Nothing screams summer more than a flowy maxi dress. The one pictured above is from Forever 21. Here are five more options, in case you don’t already own a maxi dress: one, two, three, four, five.

The Lace-Up Blouse

You’ve seen this trend all over the place since fall, so chances are you probably have a lace-up item of some sort sitting in your closet. Put it to good use this summer with this effortlessly chic and sexy look. The blouse shown above is from Urban Outfitters. Here is another lace-up option from Forever 21.

Button-Down With White Shorts

This look has been popping up all over the place recently. There is no better way to channel your inner touristy chic than put together this outfit. Here is a classic Chambray shirt. As for the white shorts, here is a cuffed pair and here is a more distressed look.

Unique LBD

I’ve talked about LBDs quite a bit around here–mostly in this post, but I also touch on the concept here. A fun, funky LBD is perfect for hot summer nights. The one pictured above is from Urban Outfitters, but you probably already have one in your closet. Here are three additional choices from ASOS [1|2|3].

Printed Romper

Another roll-out-of-bed look, this fun romper is perfect for keeping cool. At night, throw on a denim jacket and some heels to dress up the look. This tribal print romper is from Forever 21. This option is also cute and affordable.

Gladiator Sandals and Kimonos

An easy Coachella-inspired look, Gladiator Sandals with a light and breezy kimono is perfect for summertime. Here are three gladiator sandals from DSW [1|2|3]. Here is a pretty floral kimono to emulate this look or a fun elephant-inspired look for a more tribal feel.

Basic Tee With Denim Skirt

Throwback Thursday has never been so simple–or stylish. You probably own both of these closet staples already, but if not, this skirt is from Urban Outfitters. Here’s a plain t-shirt that works well for this look. Here are three additional cute denim skirt choices from H&M [1|2|3].

The T-Shirt Dress

You might have ten of these sitting in your wardrobe already. But, if you need to add a few more, here are three different options from Forever 21 [1|2|3].

Bodycon Skirt With Crop Top

So easy to throw on when you’re running late. Plus, you’ll look effortlessly cool. This mini skirt is from Urban Outfitters. Charlotte Russe has a never-ending list of mini skirt options, including these four [1|2|3|4].

Breezy, Patterned Bottoms

You’ll forget what it’s like to leave the house wearing denim after you try these cozy pants out. Here are two cute options from Nordstrom [1|2]. Forever 21 also has plenty of choices [1|2|3].

Mini Skirt, Crop Top, Leather Jacket

It’s hard to think about jackets during summer time (especially here in Phoenix). But some places require a jacket at night–or inside a cold restaurant on date night. I love the edgy prettiness of this look. The skirt above is from Urban Outfitters. Mini skirts are everywhere right now, though, so pick one up from your favorite store. Here’s a floral skirt from Forever 21. If you don’t own a leather jacket, here’s one.

Breezy Floral Maxi Skirt

This is the obvious summer staple for a weekend beach getaway. This beautiful skirt is from Anthropologie. Here are two more casual, everyday looks from Target [1|2].

Active Shorts and Tank

Grab this look from Urban Outfitters. Grab a cami from H&M and one of these pairs of dolphin shorts from Forever 21.

Two-Piece Set

This may be something you don’t have in your closet yet, but it’s a fun trend that makes getting dressed a snap. This pretty set is from Forever 21 [Top|Skirt]. Here’s mesh set [Top|Skirt], a floral short set, a sweet buttoned set [Top|Skirt], a tube top with skater skirt, and a lace set for going out [Top|Skirt].

High-Neck Dress

Any color, any style. This lacy dress is from ASOS. Here is another option from Nordstrom. Here are some additional options from Forever 21: one, two, three, four.

Off-The-Shoulder Top

This is the biggest trend of Summer 2016. This one is from Urban Outfitters. Here’s an option with longer sleeves. This top has a pretty floral print.

Anything Crochet

This beachy look is trendy every summer–for good reason. Crochet is light, breezy, and always pretty. This racerback tank is from ASOS. You can also try out this bohemian crop top from Forever 21. If neither of those appeal to you, here are six more options: one, two, three, four, five, six.

Printed Shorts

This is probably my favorite trend of the summer. When I don’t know what to wear, I reach for a pair of woven and printed shorts. This cute pair is from Forever 21. If you want a more floral vibe, check out this cute pair. Target has plenty of cute and affordable options as well: one, two, three, four.

Sweet Tee

Basic tees can get tired out easily during the hot summer months. Add some fun edging or intricate details to spice up your look. This adorable t-shirt is from Urban Outfitters. Here is a t-shirt from Nasty Gal with burnout detail. This one has eyelet detailing, this one has a mesh insert, and this one has a ribbed appearance.

Swingy Midi Dress

Wear it to a BBQ, wear it to the beach. This yellow dress is from ASOS. Here is a slightly more formal version from Forever 21.
